So including our 5 guests, we had 7 players. Everyone got here shortly after 4, split into two groups to play games, we had Dinner at around 6:30, and played games until about 1 AM.
Barb and I have been having fun playing Blokus lately. For those of you who haven't heard of Blokus, it is an abstract game where you must connect a set of colored pieces (that look similar to Tetris Blocks) on corners without letting the faces touch. Whoever places the most of their pieces wins.
Games that I would like to try with Barb next are as follows:
Elasund: The First City of Catan
(hoping that she will like the Catan franchise)
Mystery Rummy: Jack the Ripper or Jekyll & Hyde
Who doesn't like Rummy? With Murder etc?
10 Days in the USA
Pretty fun overall and a nice diversion.
Through the Desert
Nice Area Control game with cool camels.
Carcassonne
(w/ expansions) or The Castle
Haven't tried 'The Castle' yet, but is supposed to (along with 'The City') be great 2 player versions of Carcasonne, but I would love to try vanilla Carcassonne as well.
Alhambra
Tile placement game in the vain in of Carcassonne. Haven't tried yet but would love to give it a shot.
Heroscape
She sounded interested when I described it to her. I don't think either of us are ready for Duel of Ages (but I have that too).
